Foundations Class- Our Foundations program is meant for anyone who is new to CrossFit or who have very little exposure to CrossFit. It will give participants a chance to both build up their fitness conditioning and
gain exposure to the foundational movements of CrossFit. This will lead to a much smoother transition
into regular class sessions for anyone new to CrossFit.
During Foundations program you will learn the following movements:
- Air Squat, Front Squat, and Overhead Squat
- Deadlift, Sumo Deadlift High Pull, and Medicine Ball Clean
- Strict Shoulder Press, Push Press, and Push Jerk
- The Clean and the Snatch
Each class will also include a short workout that will introduce the participant to many other moves
common to CrossFit.
The Foundations program is a total of two weeks and includes six classes. Participants will be required to
attend the Monday and Wednesday class during both weeks. This is when each of the essential
movements will be covered in depth. All participants in the program are also welcome to attend the
two Saturday team WODs that will occur during the two-week program (These are not mandatory, but
are a fun opportunity to get to know the CrossFit Bravura community and get a great workout in.).
CrossFit Lite- All the "Functional Fitness" CrossFit has to offer but without the heavy barbells. Lite is a great option for those who are just getting started in an active lifestyle or who are intimidated by some of the more advanced CrossFit moves. One thing is for sure, you will get a great workout!!
CrossFit Class- CrossFit was created under the philosophy of performing constantly varied functional movements at a high intensity. These functional movements are going to include things like squats, deadlifts, and pushups. Movements that promote your bodies natural movement patterns and help to improve your everyday life. The movements performed are also going to change with each class. The one thing that isn’t going to change with each class is the need to put in the effort and hard work.
Our general CrossFit classes are made up of a mixture of weightlifting, gymnastics, and aerobic conditioning exercises. Each class will be structured around a WOD (Workout of the Day) and will contain a mixture of these movements. At the end of the day, each class is programmed with the intention to help individuals train for longevity, improved health, and to have fun.
Team WOD- Our Saturday morning team WODs are a great time to enjoy a good workout and hang out with the awesome Bravura community. Spend some time with people that have the same goals as you in a team workout. We can scale these workouts to anyone's ability and all are welcome.
Olympic Lifting Class- Our OLY class will focus on the Snatch and Clean & Jerk lifts. These full body lifts are a great measure of overall fitness and strength, and ALLOT of fun!! Attend this class to start building the knowledge and muscle memory to achieve your next PR!!
